For as long as I can remember, I have stayed home on Valentine’s Day. Not necessarily because I was single (though there were plenty of those nights too), but because I refuse to brave the masses on the “most romantic” night of the year.
In the hospitality world, Valentine’s Day is rookie night. Everyone and their mother (possibly, literally) is out. That means tables— if you can get one— are filled with weirdos, their weird requests and even weirder dining habits. Service inevitably suffers, guests get let down, and don’t even get me started on the decor.
At home, tucked away from the chaos (with or without a date!), I’ll set the table, light some candles and make a nice dinner. But let’s talk about that table.
Linens make it luxe. This vintage tablecloth comes with a set of six napkins, all reversible for multiple looks.
